Student Day Passes for Presentations and Performances are available for purchase below. Students are individuals who are engaged in formal academic study from elementary school through university post-graduate work for more than one-half of full time.

Day Passes to not include convention meals, however there are multiple food venues on the Queen Mary for your convenience, so you will not need to miss any shows!

Access to the Queen Mary:  You should not need to purchase a ticket to board the Queen Mary, just say you are attending the ML Society Convention.  We have been told this by Danielle Ujano, Catering & Conventions Services Manager at the Queen Mary.

Event Location:  All events will be held in the Royal Salon and Kings View rooms on the Promenade Deck.  A ship map and information can be viewed on our convention webpage at https://www.magiclanternsociety.org/2024-convention-queen-mary-information/.

We will have a registration table in the Royal Salon with Day Pass namebadges for you, or seek out Shannon Schnittker who will be helping register folks. Just check in with your name, we do not issue “tickets” for Day Passes.

If you aren’t able to check in right away, no worries, we are an informal group.  Make yourselves at home and enjoy the presentations.  We’ll get things squared away at a break.

Parking Cost:  If you plan to park at the Queen Mary, we understand it is $ 10 for 21-59 minutes, $ 25 daily maximum, with a $10 discount if you eat at one of the dining venues on board and get a Validation. 

Parking Access:  There is also a special event “The Spirits Rise” that we are told involves a large tent in the parking lot, so on-site parking will be limited.  Please call the Queen Mary if you have questions and plan accordingly.
